The boys water polo season was over when the boys participated in their last tournament at The League Championships where they placed 2nd in their division. The highlights of their season include when the team made it to the championship games at 6both the Ayala Tournament and the Chino Hills Tournament.

The coach of the team, Shane Anderson said, “We shouldn’t take any steps backwards next year by any means. But it might be more like the year after that we are growing to rebuild or reestablish things. I kind of foresee us being back at the championship games and League again.”

For next year, The team will be based around the two starters, Sophomores, Timmy Pourkazemi and Ethan Evarts.

“They were solid this year so they are going to be even better next year,” said
Coach Anderson.

The coach has precise goals for the team, like overcoming the hurdle of receiving second, and hopes that they will be able to make his vision a reality in the 2018-2019 Varsity Boys Water Polo season or sometime in the near future.

“It’s been Murrieta valley, then Vista Murrieta, then everyone else…That’s what we would like to do is overcome that hurdle. We would like to get to the next step which is to win in League.”
